Motorola Moto X officially announced for Europe

Motorola Moto X
Motorola has announced that they will start selling the Moto X in Europe starting today. The company's flagship smartphone, which has been available in the U.S. since 2013, will be sold in the UK, France and Germany beginning early February.

While the Moto X costs $399 in the US, it wont be as cheap in Europe. The handset has been priced at £380 ($622) for its SIM-free model. In France, the handset has been priced at €429 ($586)

"When we priced Moto X at $399 in the US as a promotion, we sold tens of thousands of units in a matter of eight minutes." said Motorola CEO Dennis Woodside in an interview with Agence France-Presse. Its disappointing that this statement was followed with a higher pricing of the device in Europe.

Its likely that the Motorola Moto X will run Android 4.4 KitKat when it lands in Europe. It will come with the same 4.7 inch 720p AMOLED touch display, up to 32GB of internal storage, a 2200 mAh battery, a 10 megapixel camera, LTE connectivity and a Motorola X8 Mobile Computing System (which includes a dual-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon processor). You will also get the innovative software features like Active Display and Touchless Control, which let the Moto X stand out among its competitors.

For the moment, we do not know when Moto Maker (which provides customization options for the Moto X) will be available to European customers.
