You can now pre-order the Motorola Moto G on Amazon

The Motorola Moto G is an affordable yet powerful Android smartphone, which is a clear response to the successful Nokia Lumia 520. However Motorola has one upped the affordable Lumia with even more powerful internals. For example you get a 4.5 inch LCD display with a 720 by 1280 pixel resolution, and a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM.

The 8GB model is priced at just $179.99, while the 16GB model will cost you $199.99 without a requirement for a contract.

The handsets are GSM unlocked, which means you can simply purchase a SIM card from a GSM carrier like AT&T or T-Mobile and you are ready to go. While Motorola initially stated that the device will only arrive in the U.S. in January, it can now be purchased directly through Amazon using the following links:

While the Lumia 520 was our previous champion in the value for money department, its throne is under serious threat with Motorola's Moto G. If you happen to have the Moto G on your Christmas wish list, you can pre-order it right and and it will be shipped out to you on December 4th, with plenty of time to spare.
