Motorola Moto X for T-Mobile receives leaked Android 4.4 update

Motorola has already stated that they will be bringing Android 4.4 KitKat for the Motorola Moto X. Considering that Motorola is a part of Google, one would assume that they will be receiving the newest version of Android pretty quickly. Well it looks like an early version of Android 4.4 KitKat has already leaked out for the T-Mobile variant of the Moto X.

The firmware is available through the XDA forum and has even been compiled into a flashable ROM for the convenience of anyone who wants to risk trying it.

The firmware has some of the KitKat improvements that you would expect, like the new version of Hangouts, and the new Google Search app. However, it didn't include the Tap & Pay settings menu item or the Google Experience launcher. Word it that the Google Experience launcher will remain an exclusive to Nexus devices for now. There are also more camera improvements, which should be good news for Moto X users.

If you want to try out the ROM or learn more about it, head over to the source link for more information.
