Motorola Moto G unveiling scheduled for November 13

Motorola is sending out media invitations for November 13, where the company is set to unveil the Motorola Moto G. The Moto G is expected to be an affordable variant of the Motorola Moto X, priced at around $250 without the requirement of a contract, and free with subsidies. Unlike the Moto X, the G is expected to be a global handset, likely heading for emerging markets, too.

The Motorola Moto G has been a part of several leaks recently and based on the available information it is expected to feature a 4.5 inch or 4.7 inch display with a 720 by 1280 pixel resolution, a 5 megapixel or 8 megapixel camera capable of HD video capture and a 1.2GHz or 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor.

As an entry level device, the Moto X will also be a demonstration of how well Google has optimised Android 4.4 KitKat for low-end devices.
