T-Mobile announces upcoming availability of iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C

T-Mobile has announced the upcoming availability of the Apple iPhone 5S and the Apple iPhone 5C on its network. You will be able to get your hands on either device on Friday, September 20, while the iPhone 5C will be available for pre-order starting September 13.

The iPhone 5S is the successor to the Apple iPhone 5, while the iPhone 5C is a repackaged variant of the previous iPhone available in an array of colors.

The iPhone 5S is Apple's newest flagship device with improvements in camera, battery life, and processor. The device is available in an additional gold color alongside the traditional grey and white variants. Apple has also included a fingerprint scanner, which is built into the iPhone 5S home button for enhanced security and authentication.

The iPhone 5C is the more affordable of the two devices and is a repackaging of last year's iPhone hardware into new colorful shells. You can select between White, Blue, Green, Yellow and Pink and pick a specially designed casing to go with your new device. While the iPhone 5C does offer some subtle improvements over the last year's model we wouldn't recommend it as an upgrade to iPhone 5 users.

T-Mobile hasn't announced their pricing for the iPhone 5S or iPhone 5C, which is expected to be available through the network's Un-Carrier plans. You should however be able to get the device on T-Mobile's Simple Choice Plan which starts with a base rate of $50 per month for unlimited talk, text and Web with 500MB of high-speed data. The iPhones will also be eligible for T-Mobile's JUMP! upgrade program, which offers the freedom to upgrade to a new device more frequently and affordably, and it includes handset protection that helps to protect against malfunction, damage, loss or theft - all for just $10 per month, per phone
