New iPhone and iPad users will receive FREE iWork and iLife apps

As you may know Apple comes with with own productivity and entertainment suites, titled iWork and iLife respectively. These suites are available on both the Mac and iOS platforms. Apple's iWork suite is made up of Pages, Numbers and Keynote, while iLife on iOS contains iMovie and iPhoto.

Today Apple announced that they will be offering all of these for free for new iOS device users.

This means that you will be saving $9.99 an app if you are purchasing a new iPhone, iPod or iPad running iOS 7.0 or higher, which will sum up to a nice savings.

Unfortunately Apple has not extended this courtesy to current iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch users. If you are thinking of buying a new iPhone 5S or a new iPhone 5C when they hit the market, you are in luck.
