Leaked Lumia 1820 could be first with Microsoft branding

A press render of a new leaked device claiming to be the Lumia 1820 lacks one element - the Nokia branding. As you can see from the image the device only carries the LUMIA branding instead of Nokia, means its could be the rumored Microsoft Lumia product.

The image also reveals two other interesting elements - The battery has a percentage meter and the rumored Cortana digital assistant.

As part of Microsoft's acquisition of Nokia's Mobile division, the software giant got control over Nokia's Lumia and Asha brands. This lead to reports of the next Lumia device carrying a Microsoft branding instead of the familiar Nokia one. This hasn't been confirmed yet, but if this press render is the real deal, it may very well become a reality soon.

The other major element in the press render is the voice assistant displayed at the bottom of the locksreen. We know that Apple has Siri and Android has Google Now. Microsoft has delayed releasing a voice assistant of their own, citing that they wouldn't do so until they had something revolutionary. With recent rumors of Microsoft working on a digital assistant named Cortana we may soon have our hands full with new features from Windows Phone.

Keep in mind that this render is a leaked image and in no way confirms that the device or the software features are real. For now we will simply stack it up with other rumors and wait till we hear more.
