The MeMo Pad 8 which runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean features an 8 inch touch display with a 1280 by 800 pixel resolution and with a 100 nit brightness, 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 5 megapixel camera, a 1.2 megapixel camera for video calls and is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. The device weigh in at 350 grams and includes a 3950 mAh battery which promises 9 hours of 720p video playback.
The MeMo Pad 10 shares most of its hardware specs with its smaller sibling sans the extra bulk and weight. Asus has also chosen a 2 megapixel rear camera and added 16GB storage to the larger device. The MeMo Pad 10 also has a larger 5070 mAh battery which offers up to 9.5 hours of video playback. Other than that the underlying Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and the 1.6GHz quad-core processor is the same as you will find on the MeMo Pad 8.
Though Asus has not unveiled the price, it is assumed that the new MeMo Pads will continue their budget friendly prices. The availability hasn't been disclosed at this time as well.
