The iOS 7.0 update comes with a unique new user interface with a flattened look. The skeuomorphism in the interface and icons have been replaced with brighter colors simplified icons. Its safe to say that the changes won't be welcome by everyone, but its clearly something iOS fans are going to have to get used to.
In reality the new user interface brings very little added functionality. The Control Center is one such new feature which gives us access to some quick toggles. Another new functionality is the iTunes radio, which doesn't really warrant an OS update. Other than that most of the other features come in the form of improvements to existing functionality.
In reality the lack of skeuomorphic icons seems to reduce the appeal of devices like the iPhone 5s while the new design works well with the colorful iPhone 5c.
Luckily the new interface wont take long to get used to, as its familiarity makes it easily to adapt to and learn. Even though Apple hasn't made any drastic design changes with this update, we could be at the cusp of something great from Apple.
