The Microsoft Surface Pro has been discounted by $100 for both its 64GB and 128GB variants. The Surface Pro features a 10.6-inch display with a 1920 by 1080 pixel resolution, two cameras and is powered by a Intel Core i5 processor with 4GB of RAM.
The discount could indicate that a successor to the Surface Pro is around the corner. The discount could also be in favor of the back to school sales which most retailers and manufactures are offering these days.
Microsoft has already discounted the Microsoft Surface RT, but the Surface Pro has remained a stronger contender in Microsoft’s lineup because of its specs and the fact that it runs the full version of Windows 8 Pro and supports stylus input. It does have some tradeoffs like its poor battery life, but that’s a willing compromise for a full PC experience.
The 64GB version of the Surface Pro now costs $799 while the 128GB version costs $899. There is an added option of bundling Office Home and Student 2013, a 2-year warranty, a Type Cover, an INCIPIO sleeve and Surface Pro Screen Protector for $309 (normally $479). While this is still a pricey investment, the Surface Pro stands out among some of its competitors because of the strong Windows ecosystem which has been around for years longer than modern mobile operating systems.
The discount is in effect until August 29, and only available in the United States, Canada, Hong Kong and Taiwan. If you are interested in getting in on the discounted Surface pricing you can do so by following the source link below.
