Microsoft Store will offer 32GB and 64GB variants of the Nokia Lumia 1020

The Nokia Lumia 1020 which was recently announced promises to revolutionize mobile photography. Its 41MP camera combined with Optical Image Stabilization offers amazing photos both during the day and night. The handset will be offered initially in the United States, exclusively through AT&T, but the carrier will not be the only place you can get your hands on this device.

The Lumia 1020 will also be available through the Microsoft Store and will be available as both a 32GB variant or a 64GB variant.

In order to maintain a thin frame with a large 41MP camera, Nokia has not included a microSD card slot with the Lumia 1020. This means that users who would want to take the maximum advantage of this smartphone camera will have to make an early choice between the 32GB and 64GB models. It was previously believed that only Telefonica owned carriers would offer the 64GB variants, but it looks like the Microsoft Store will also carrier the higher storage model which will be capable of storing up to 4000 images or 6 hours of full HD video.

Those who purchase the Lumia 1020 from the Microsoft Store and sign a contract with AT&T at the time of purchase will additionally receive a free Nokia Camera Grip, which generally retails at $79. This grip includes an additional 1020mAh battery, which will be useful when you want your Lumia 1020 as a camera. The accessory also makes the phone feel more like a camera when capturing photos.
