Samsung Galaxy S4 receives software update, enables HDR and moving apps to SD card


The Samsung Galaxy S4 is set to receive a new software update which brings bring a few new features and improvements to the device. Among these changes is the much-requested option to move apps from the internal storage to the microSD card on the device. The purplish smearing screen issues which some Galaxy S4 owners have been facing has also reportedly been addressed with this update.

The update is currently only available to users in Germany who use the Snapdragon 600 variant of the device. However the update is expected to roll out to other countries in the near future. The Exynos model is also expected to receive the update. Check out the full change-log which details the features in the upcoming update below.

The Galaxy S4  features a 5 inch Super AMOLED touch display with a 1080 by 1920 pixel resolution, up to 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 13 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary 2 megapixel camera for video calls, 4G LTE connectivity, NFC, and is powered by a Samsung Exynos 5 Octa core processor or a (Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor) with 2GB of RAM.
