The Google Play Store app for Android has been updated to version 4.1.10 which aims to fix a battery draining bug on devices running an earlier version of the app. The Google Play Store is the hub for offering the latest apps, games and other digital content on your Android smartphones and tablets.

Google released the 4.1.6 version of the Play Store just before Google I/O which brought a fresh look to the Store along with making navigation easier. While the latest update doesn't feature any visual changes, it fix should surely be welcome to any Android user, especially certain HTC branded devices.
The battery draining bug recently appeared with a Google Play Services update and a specific location-related bug was identified as the cause of this drain. The 4.1.10 Google Play Store update appears to resolve this issue.
If you want to check which version of the Google Play Store you have installed on your device you can head over to Settings > Apps > All and scroll down and select Google Play Store. The installed version will appear below the App name.
