While fans would be happy to see Skype for BlackBerry available for their devices, the release currently only supports BlackBerry 10.1.0 which means it will run only on the BlackBerry Q10. The Q10 is currently only available in select markets, so its unlikely that there are many of them out there, however the few users will have exclusive access to Skype for now.
BlackBerry Z10 users will have to wait until their devices receives the 10.1.0 update before they can enjoy access to Skype. The update is currently being tested by developers and should be available to the Z10 in the coming weeks.
Keep in mind that Skype for BlackBerry is still in a preview stage, so you may come across some glitches here and there while you use the app. However the core functionality of the app is there and you should be able to use most of the features without any issues.
In celebration of the launch of Skype for BlackBerry users will receive a 3 month Unlimited World Subscription from Skype. You can learn more about the offer by following the source link.
