Nokia Maps updated with new map data (0.2.49.104) for Symbian and Meego

Nokia Maps is now receiving an update for its Map Data (0.2.49.104) for the Symbian and Meego smartphone platforms. Updating your maps data will give you better accuracy when you navigate through the best places in any neighborhood and makes it easier to find the smartest way to get there.

If you have a Symbian smartphone like the Nokia 808 PureView you can head over to the Nokia Maps app and select the Update option from your main menu.

If you own a Meego handset like the Nokia N9, got to Maps Application > Manage Maps > Check for updates in order to download the latest maps data.

You can also download the update by connecting your handset to the Nokia Suite and updating the Maps through the PC program. Nokia has not released an official change-log, but it is likely the update will bring more cities, routes and other improvements to the data in your maps.
