[Windows app] Internet Explorer 10 is now available for Windows 7

Internet Explorer LogoMicrosoft has released Internet Explorer (IE) 10 for Windows 7, bringing the final build of the web browser to the Windows 8 predecessor. Until now users have had the Internet Explorer 10 Preview for Windows 7 to try out, but the final build should be pushed to all Windows 7 users in the coming weeks through Windows Update.

If you don't want to wait until the update is automatically pushed to your computer, you can download Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7 right now using the following link.

IE 10 brings several new features and improvements with it including improved JavaScript performance, better battery life for mobile devices, built in spell checking and auto correction and improved support for all the latest web standards. IE10 will also include support for 95 languages. Visually there are no changes in IE 10 which will continue to resemble the previous release.

Will this release of IE 10 give the browser the boost it needs to compete with the likes of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox? We think Microsoft needs to give more attention to the performance of IE 10 especially compared to Chrome before we can take it seriously. Do you agree?
