Run Android apps on Windows 8 with the BlueStacks App Player update for Surface Pro

BlueStacks logoBlueStacks has updated their Android App Player for the Microsoft Surface Pro and Windows 8. This means that users you own Microsoft’s newest operating system or Microsoft's flagship tablet will be able to run the over 750,000 apps available on the Android platform.

“We've had our users asking for a Win8 version for a long time,” said BlueStacks CEO Rosen Sharma. “Now that it’s finally available on our website we're looking forward to getting feedback and building on the experience. The number of mobile apps being written overall is expanding exponentially and Microsoft has not added apps to the handful it has. Our goal is to get people more value out of their Surface Pro and Win8 devices.”

The BlueStacks App Player features a Back and Home Button similar to a normal any regular Android device. You also have a Charms menu which appears on the right side and you even have full screen to enjoy your Android apps in all their glory.

The BlueStacks App Player has been downloaded more than 5 million times across Mac OS and Windows devices. The company recently announced several  OEM partners who will have the App Player installed on over 100 million PCs in 2013.
