Apple may release iOS 6.1.2 next week to fix major security issues

Apple’s iOS updates have been facing several issues over the last few days. First we saw that Apple iPhone 4S users were unable to take calls or send text messages using their devices. Next a major security flaw was revealed which allowed anyone to bypass the passcode lock and gain access to their device. Most recently users who updated to iOS 6.1 have been complaining that they were facing battery draining issues on the iPhone 4S devices.

Luckily Apple has been hard at work on fixing these issues and released iOS 6.1.1 to correct the connectivity issues. New reports are now surfacing that the company plans to release iOS 6.1.2 to fix the security flaw which allows bypassing the pass-code lock. Unfortunately there is no news on if the battery drain will be fixed with that update.

The report on the iOS 6.1.2 update comes from the same source who revealed the release date of the iOS 6.1.1 update. We can safely assume that while there is no official statement from Apple regarding the update that it wont be far off considering the nature of the security issue.
