[Symbian app] WhatsApp Messenger updated (2.9.3) adds chat history and web searching functions

The WhatsApp Messenger for Symbian has been updated to version 2.9.3 (build 40869) which brings new features, improvements and bug fixes. The new Chat History setting tab allows you to Send, Backup or Clear chats manually. Earlier WhatsApp used to back-up the conversations automatically and you can the option for sharing as well. A clear all conversations option has been included within the Chat history Tab.

  WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform smartphone messaging app which allows you to exchange messaging with your contacts without having to pay for SMS, by utilizing the existing smartphone data connection (or Wi-Fi when available).

 

Keep in mind that WhatsApp requires a SIM card so it will be easier to install the update if you already have the app installed on your device.
