The device runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean which is coated with the Huawei Emotion UI, which contributes to the simplicity in usability which adding personalization through downloadable themes.
The device is reported to have a great response which can be attributed to its fast processor and ample RAM and promises to offer around two hours of battery life as a result of various power saving measures introduced by the manufacturer.
Huawei also claims that the device goes through a 116 step manufacturing process to ensure its high build quality. That is nearly four time the average. You can check out some hands on photos with the device below.

The Ascend D2 is expected to be available in China and Europe next month and Huawei claims it will be made available in the U.S. as well. However the pricing for this handset has still not been revealed.
