The Flipboard for Android app has been updated and now brings support for Android tablets. The Flipboard app is a prime example of how the touch interface can be used for gathering and reaching content. The app has the flow of a magazine both aesthetically and in functionality and with Apple’s iPad being supported from the start, the Android version has trailed without support for its tablet form factor until now.

You can download the update directly on your device through the Google Play Store or by using the link which follows:

The Flipboard for Android app has been around for the 7 inch tablets like the Amazon Kindle Fire, Barnes & Noble Nook and the Google Nexus 7 by Asus. But with Google now introducing the larger Nexus 10, it looks like developers are starting to take larger Android tablets seriously. So the developers seem to have optimized their new app for the Google Nexus 10, Samsung Galaxy Not 10.1 and other tablets in the Galaxy Tab series.

The developers said that their decision to bring the app to the larger screen was based on the noticeable growth in adoption
The moment so many Android fans have been waiting for is here—and just in time for the holidays. Flipboard is available on tablets like the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, the Nexus 10 and 7, and many more. In fact, now the entire Android community can flip through everything from friends’ updates and photos to world news, tech stories, design blogs and beyond.
So if you are looking for a social magazine on your Android tablet, be sure to download Flipboard and leave us a comment letting us know what you think in the comments section below.
