Google has now made the new Nexus series available for purchase on the Google Play Store. This includes the Google Nexus 4 smartphone which starts at just $299 and the 10 inch Google Nexus 10 which is the highest resolution tablet in the market to-date. Also available for purchase is the 32GB Google Nexus 7 which costs just $249, while the 16GB version has been reduced to $199. The new Nexus lineup will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which is the latest version of the operating system.
The Nexus 4 features a 4.7 inch HD touch display, up to 16GB of internal storage an 8 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture and will be powered by a quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. Its 8GB variant costs $299, while the 16GB version will cost $349 making it one of the most affordable smartphones of its class.
The Nexus 7 features a 7 inch touch display, up to 32GB of internal storage, a front facing camera for video calls and is powered by a quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. A variant with cellular data connectivity and 32GB of storage is also available for purchase.
The Nexus 10 features a 10.1 inch display with a generous 2560×1600 pixel resolution, up to 32GB of internal storage, a 5 megapixel camera for capable of 1080p video capture, a secondary camera for video calls and will is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core processor with 2GB of RAM. The Nexus 10 promises to better the Apple iPad in specification while being offered in a more affordable price.
