We have been hearing about new Windows Phone 8 devices lately, but not much regarding the Samsung ATIV S. A recent report suggests that the device may be delayed. In the UK, the retailer Cover has marked the release date of the device to December, while there is now news on availability for the US yet.

The ATIV S doesn’t follow the vibrant color choices of the HTC and Nokia Windows Phones. Instead the has chosen a premium aluminium body. The device features a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED HD touch display, up to 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, an 8 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary camera for video calls and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual core processor with 1GB of RAM.

The ATIV S is priced at £369 (£442.90 including VAT) on Cove, which translates to around $580 USD. Carriers in the U.S. have still to announce the availability of the Samsung Windows Phone, but we know that Verizon is due to get a variant of the device named the Samsung ATIV Odyssey.

Will you be waiting for the Samsung ATIV S or do you have your eyes set on a different Windows Phone from Nokia or HTC.
