Skype 6.0 released for Windows and Mac OS


Skype has been updated for Windows and Mac OS and brings several improvements to both platforms. One of the new features is an improved sign in process which allows you to sign into Skype using your Microsoft or Facebook Account. This will allow you to chat with your Facebook, Windows Live messenger and Skype contacts all from one place. You will even be able to initiate audio and video calls with Windows Live Messenger clients in a future release of Skype desktop.

Skype 6.0 for Windows has the following new features and improvements
  • Skype now supports a total of 38 languages, with newly added support for  Thai, Croatian, Slovenian, Serbian, Catalan and Slovak
  • A new UI inspired by Windows 8 with a simpler less cluttered look.
  • Online user count has been removed
  • The ability to quickly revert back to your old Skype profile pictures.
Skype 6.0 for Mac OS has the following new features and improvements
  • The Ability to open chats in multiple windows
  • Support for Retina display on the newest MacBook Pros
