RIM schedules special BlackBerry 10 event on November 7

RIM is holding a special event on November 7th for a group of Canadian politicians, where they aim to demonstrate their BlackBerry 10 platform. The BlackBerry platform is popular among government officials in Canada because of its level of protection offered when sending encrypted messages. It turns out that each member of the parliament receives a BlackBerry on their first day of service.

The invitation to the special event reads as follows:
"Join us for an exclusive cocktail reception and presentation of BlackBerry 10 and get a sneak peek of the next generation mobile platform that will change everything,"
The event is said to take place at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier, where the invitees will be able to mingle with RIM executives. It is important for RIM to demonstrate the new features of BlackBerry 10 to their strongest client base, especially when so many users are opting to switch to iOS and Android instead.

Companies like Yahoo has switched from using BlackBerry to Apple iPhone or Android, along with several others and RIM will have a tough road ahead to win back their user base. Especially with Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 also vying for third place.

The Attendees at the November 7th event will even be offered a chance to win a BlackBerry 10 phone or a BlackBerry PlayBook with 4G LTE.
