Google sends out invites for an Android Event on October 29th

Google has sent out invitations for an Android Event, which is going to be held in New York on October 29th. While they have not revealed any details of what we should expect, the general expectation is that we will get our first glimpse at the next version of Android.

The main expectation is for Android 4.2 (aka Key Lime Pie?) to be revealed, which will focus mainly on performance and bugs while bringing a few new features like the improved battery life through Project Roadrunner. What is a new operating system without new devices? We hope to see Google reveal its latest Nexus flagship, which may end up being an entire series of devices if we are lucky

The other big expectation is for the 32GB Google Nexus 7 which has been popping up all over the world recently. Another rumor which may see some light is the $99 Nexus tablet which would be a rare luxury if it is made a reality.

In any case all we have are rumors for now. Be sure to mark the date on your calendars and join our live coverage at 10 AM on October 29th for what will surely be a memorable event.
