Splashtop Remote Desktop is now available for Windows 8. You may remember the company for being the makers of the Win 8 Testbed for the iPad, which allowed you to stream and test Windows 8 on your iPad. Splashtop Remote desktop meanwhile allows you to remotely access your PC or Mac from your iPad, Android tablet and now the upcoming Windows 8 tablets.

You can download Splashtop directly on your Windows 8 running device through the Windows Store or using the link which follows:

While the app is currently available for free for now, but it would likely be priced once the final version of Windows 8 is available to the public.

Splashtop Remote Desktop for Windows 8 supports streaming of HD movies at up to 30 FPS and has the ability to play interactive 3D games with low latency from a PC or a Mac. More features will likely be added before the final version is available.
