Office 2013 will be free on Windows RT tablets

Today Microsoft unveiled at a special event held in San Francisco. The new version of Office is built with the improved touch features of Windows 8 in mind and will be offered for free as part of Windows RT – which will run on ARM based Windows 8 tablets.

Since Office 2013 in built with excellent cloud integration, you can work across your desktop, laptop Windows 8 tablet or Windows Phone 8 devices with the new version of Office.

So head over to office.com/preview and check out the new features including SkyDrive, Skype, digital ink and Social integration which are a part of Office 2013.

So remember that if you are planning to get a new Windows RT tablet like the Microsoft Surface, this holiday season, that you will get all the new features of Office 2013 for free. It makes sense that Microsoft would want to sweeten the deal for Windows RT users who wont be able to run native Windows x86 apps on their new ARM based tablets.
