The Samsung Galaxy S III for Sprint is now receiving its first software update. The software version will be updated to L710VPLF9 and is aimed at improving the device security.
You can download the update by heading over to Menu > Settings > About Phone > System Updates > Update Android.
The Galaxy S III is one of the hottest Android handsets in the market. While it doesn’t share the quad-core processor of the international Samsung Galaxy S III, it has a large 4.8 inch Super AMOLED HD display, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD and an 8 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video.
The Galaxy S III maybe running the latest version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich, but I am sure many users are already craving access to the newer, faster, smoother Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. You will have to stay satisfied with ICS for now folks.
