The Motorola Xoom for Verizon is finally getting its share of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). While the Wi-Fi variant users are already using the latest version of ICS on their device, users of the the 4G LTE version of the Xoom will start receiving the latest version of Android starting Monday June 4th.
It is quite disappointing that the Xoom has taken a backseat to its ICS share, given that it was the first Android tablet to feature Honeycomb. However Verizon’s Xoom users can finally start enjoying the many features and improvements which come with Android 4.0.
The carrier has also promised added functionality, including speech-to-text, a built in photo editor and the ability to dismiss notifications individually.
So for everyone out there who has been impatiently waiting for ICS on your Verizon Motorola Xoom, your wait will finally be over tomorrow. Once you have updated, please share your thoughts and experiences in the comments section which follows.
