Windows Phone Tango to be launched on March 21st

It looks like the wait for Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh a.k.a Tango is finally over. A report states that Microsoft has sent out press invitations in China for the debut of the latest version of their mobile operating system on March 21st.

This statement also backs up Nokia's claim that they will have three different Lumia handsets ready to launch in China by March 28th.

There is no word on when the update will make it's way to  to other Windows Phones, but it should eventually role out to all the other devices.

Windows Phone Tango is an interim update mainly aimed at adding support for devices with lower end hardware. However it does also add a few new features and irradiate some bugs, which should be welcome by all Windows Phone users.

China is a very large market with Nokia still ruling the roost as the largest cell phone marker. But Android's growing popularity along with the Apple iPhone. With their Windows Phone offering Nokia will have a lot of ground to cover to retain their throne and reclaim their dominance not just in the Chinese market but around the world.
