Samsung has started to roll out Android 4.0.3 update for the Galaxy S II handset. The update is reported to first become available for devices in Hungary, Poland and Sweden and then for users in the United Kingdom during the week of March 19th. This brings the Galaxy S II to the latest version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Users under various carriers may have to wait longer as the update undergoes it's vigorous tests to ensure compatibility with networks and their apps.
The U.S. variants of the Galaxy S II will probably be amoung the last to receive the update, but the fact that ICS has started rolling out gives us the hope that we will have the update on our devices sooner rather than later.
