Watch the Super Bowl for free on you Verizon handset

The folks at Verizon have some good news to share: If you are a Verizon customer with the NFL app on smartphone phone you will be able to watch Sunday's game between the Patriots and the Giants for free.

Those on Verizon's 4G LTE connectivity were able to enjoy the regular season of football through the NFL network for free through the NFL Mobile app. However the 3G phone users had to subscribe to VCAST Video.

This time everyone gets to enjoy Super Bowl 46 on their Verizon phones without having to pay a cent. All you need is the NFL Mobile app on your device.

Verizon got exclusive rights to the NFL mobile application when the took control of it from Sprint before the NFL Draft in 2010. As of now they have completed their second regular season with exclusive rights to the application.
