Thanks to the Corona exploit in iOS 5.0.1 discovered by Pod2g, those running iOS 5.0.1 can enjoy the freedom of an untethered iOS 5.0.1 jailbreak. Note that this method is only available for device running the Apple A4 chip or older like the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad and iPod Touch.

NOTE - Please make a backup of your data before you proceed
- Download iOS 5.0.1 for your supported iOS device.
- Download Sn0wbreeze 2.9.1 for Windows [UPDATED]
- Launch Sn0wbreeze and click the blue arrow
- Click Browse and locate the iOS 5.0.1 IPSW file you downloaded in step 01 and select it.
- Once you verify that you have the correct device IPSW selected click the blue arrow again.
- Select Expert Mode if you are planning to ublock your device using Ultrasn0w or GEVEY SIM.
- Now select Build IPSW and click the blue arrow to continue.
- You will be notified when the process of PWNING your iOS 5.0.1 IPSW file is completed.
- Connect your device and select OK
- Follow the steps to put your device in DFU mode. You will receive a confirmation prompt if done correctly.
- Open iTunes, select the device on the left column and Click Restore while holding the Left Shift button on your keyboard.
- You will be asked to select an iPSW file and you should select the custom file created by Sn0wbreeze.
- Wait for the process to complete
Your device has now been jailbroken (untethered) on iOS 5.0.1
