The following step by step guide will show you how to install CyanogenMod 7.1 on your HP TouchPad.
NOTE - This is an alpha release of the CyanogenMod. Please note that an alpha release could be unstable and cause issues with using your device. Things like power management and app compatibility will continue to improve in future builds so do not install unless you are sure of what you are doing.
Following is the official change-log in the alpha 3 build
- Last prominent form of "sleep of death" fixed
- Webkit backing store (smoother scrolling)
- Minor improvements to 2D/3D performance in some apps
- Bluetooth DPad/arrows do not rotate with screen
- Battery stats now available to Android
- Serial# now populated
- Shorter hostname as a result of serial#
- General wifi fixes
- Preliminary Touchpad 4G support(no radio)
- Status bar should take less resources after an app goes full screen
- Possible fix for A2DP and wifi interference
- Possible fix for SD card not mounting
- Camera FPS improved but still nearly nonfunctional
NOTE - If you have previously installed alpha 1 or alpha 2 you can update to alpha 3 by following the steps below.
If you have not installed CyanogenMod on your TouchPad before simply download the alpha 3 file from below and follow this guide
Step by step guide
- Download update-cm-7.1.0-tenderloin-a3-fullofbugs-signed.zip
- If you are updating you can download the file directly from your TouchPad.
- Note the file location as you will need it in Step 4
- Hold the Power button and select Reboot > Reboot to Recovery
- Your TouchPad will now boot into ClockworkMod Recovery
- From the main menu
- install zip from sdcard > choose zip from sdcard > update-cm-7.1.0-tenderloin-a3-fullofbugs-signed.zip
- Reboot your device
