The PlayBook was recently reduced to $299 to compete with the Amazon Kindle Fire, which set a new pricing standard for 7-inch tablets. Originally the 16GB Wi-Fi version was priced at $499 but had to reduce it's price due to poor sales.
While this may be a great deal for the tablet anyone interested is warned that the PlayBook has been plagued with poor sales since it's lauch which may be due to the lack of some core apps like the calendar and email. Also compared to it's Android competitors, the app selection on the PlayBook is quite small.
If you are still interested in trying the device out, let us know if you get your hands on the deal on Black Friday.
