Nokia Maps offline mode available for iOS and Android

One of the features that I really enjoyed on a Nokia device was it's offline maps, and now Nokia is bringing offline maps feature to users who own iOS and Android devices as well through their mobile maps website.

The Nokia Maps mobile site offers iOS and Android users helpful features like Places of Interest, Public transport routes and live traffic information in select cities and countries. It is a great alternative to Google Maps which just started offering an offline version.

You can download pre selected neighborhoods from the HTML5 website at http://m.maps.nokia.com on your mobile device and use it while you are offline, without requiring an active data connection. This helps save your battery and money.

Windows Phone users can also get in on this feature, but anyone who is looking to get a Windows Phone device would prefer waiting for the Nokia Windows Phones which will come with Nokia Maps and free offline voice navigation built in.
