The successor to the Barnes and Noble (B&N) Nook Color is set to be announced on November 7th according to various sources. The Nook Color became quite bopoular when it was rooted and made to work like a regular Android tablet, making it the cheapest Android tablet in the market at the time.
The new tablet from B&N is said to be available during the coming holiday season and sources say they will make way for the device in 40 of their most productive stores by increasing the the store space for the new tablet by about 2,000 square feet and 1,000 square feet in the remaining 664 stores.
The Nook Color will face it's biggest competition from the Amazon Kindle Fire. While the iPad continues to dominate the tablet series, the $200 price tag of the Kindle Fire is hard to beat. The Nook Color's successor will have to have both the price tag along with features to take on it's competitors and we will have to wait a few more days to find out what it has to offer.
