Google+ now open to everyone

Google has just opened its Google+ service to the public along with an updated version of its Android App. To learn more about Google+ head over here. The Google team state that they have over hundred new features added to the service since it was first launched, with the hundredth feature being open sign-ups. If you aren't already on Google Plus you can sign up now by heading over to http://plus.google.com right now. You can't miss Google's not so subtle hint on their homepage either.

The web version of Google+ Hangouts is now integrated with Google Docs, SketchUp and also allows users to share their screens with each other. Because of the popularity of the feature it has also been added to Android devices in the latest update.

The Huddles feature has now been renamed Messenger and allows users to update photos which can be sent to their Circles.

Facebook has worked hard to play catch up with the new features that Google+ had to offer. One has to wonder if Google still has what it takes to make users move away from Facebook onto their own service.
