The Asus EeePad Transformer is one of the most popular Android tablets. Its price tag along with it's dockable keyboard make it a huge hit among Android fans. Because of it's huge success Asus is preparing to release it's successor according to Asus chairman Jonney Shih.
The device will probably be named the Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 and is expected to be released this October.
The Transformer 2 is expected to be powered by NVidia's quad-core Kal-El chip and run's Android Ice Cream Sandwich. The company faces it's biggest hurdle in touch panel supplies which it has now been distributed between two panel providers to meet their target for the third quarter of this year
