Windows Phone 7 beats Android in customer satisfaction

Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 has had quite a slow start globally, with a sparse set of handsets making their way into the market. The blame may be on Microsoft, as Windows Phone 7 was released missing some core features.

While the software giant has worked hard to released updates and would probably have all the standard features in place with the release of Windows Phone's Mango update, It looks like the customers are quite happy with what Windows Phone has to offer.

According to a study conducted by Changewave Research, users who have invested in Windows Phone device are more satisfied in their purchase when compared to users who have invested in an Android device. Apple is not surprisingly at the top of the list with higher satisfaction than it's competitors.

While Windows Phone is ahead in satisfaction it is important to note that Android has higher market share and number of apps. The reason behind this has to be the fewer applications and devices in the Windows Phone portfolio. Microsoft's partnership with Nokia along with the upcoming Mango update may bring the OS in par with Android, but Microsoft will have to continue to innovate with their offering in order to get ahead of their competitors.
