Nokia's transition to Windows Phone is quite a big deal among the technical community, but how do you explain the transition from Symbian to Windows Phone to a regular customer, especially when Symbian Anna is being marketed so aggressively to show Nokia's commitment to Symbian.
Well Nokia has decided to spend $127.5 million on a PR campaign in the UK, with the aim of explaining their new mobile OS choice and to help customer's transition to Windows Phone.
It is important that Nokia customers are accustomed to whats about to come from them in the future. Their commitment to Windows Phone requires such campaigns not only in the UK, but also at a global. This of course would cost them quite a bit. I hope the transition will be worth the expense for Nokia in the long run.
