Yesterday the world got it's first look of Windows 8, the upcoming version of Windows which will support all forms from Computers, Laptops to even tablets and slates.
Windows 8 features an all new User interface similar to that on it's Windows Phone devices. The Windows 8 user interface will offer a full touch experience which has been built over the previous Windows UI, allowing users to have a full desktop experience no matter what device they are on.
The following features can be expected in Windows 8:
- Fast launching of apps from a tile-based Start screen, which replaces the Windows Start menu with a customizable, scalable full-screen view of apps.
- Live tiles with notifications, showing always up-to-date information from your apps.
- Fluid, natural switching between running apps.
- Convenient ability to snap and resize an app to the side of the screen, so you can really multitask using the capabilities of Windows.
- Web-connected and Web-powered apps built using HTML5 and JavaScript that have access to the full power of the PC.
- Fully touch-optimized browsing, with all the power of hardware-accelerated Internet Explorer 10.

I personally cannot wait to see tablets and slates running Windows 8. I can now put off any plans of buying an iPad in the near future. What do you think ? is Windows 8 going to take back the tablet market ? or do user's prefer an un bloated mobile OS on their tablets?
