HP working on bringing webOS through other manufacturers

HP is apparently working on expanding the reach of it's webOS mobile operating system beyond it's own devices by looking for manufacturers who would be interested in licensing webOS on their devices. The webOS platform has a small portfolio and by getting more manufacturers licensing the OS for their own devices we can see it reach a much wider audience.

One manufacturer who is said to be interested is Samsung. Samsung has devices running in a range of platforms. Their popularity ranges from Android to Windows Phone to Samsung's own BADA operating system.

With the Android and iOS battling hard for the top spot in the mobile market and Microsoft planning to step in as a third competitor with their Nokia partnership, I am curious to know if there is room for a fourth player. We will know in the coming months how HP does in getting support on bringing webOS to the masses.
