HTC Sensation announced at HTC Event

HTC had an event scheduled today in London, which saw the official announcement of the HTC Sensation. This device was previously known as the HTC Pyramid. We were a little surprised to see an event centered around one device, and a little disappointed that an international version of the HTC Evo 3D wasn't part of today's announcement.

The HTC Sensation is in no means a slouch. It features a 4.3 inch Super LCD display with qHD resolution. It features an 8MP camera which comes with the Instant Capture feature and stereo recording and is capable of capturing HD video at 1080p (30 fps). The Sensation is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor and the Adreno 220 GPU which promises good gaming along with support for the HD video capture.
HTC has continued to evolve their Sense UI, now offering an active lockscreen, improved email application and an updated weather application. HTC has also introduced HTC Watch Services, which you can use to rent or buy movies.

HTC Sensation will be available in Europe through Verizon by May this year and make its way to the other carriers by sometime in June. A U.S. variant which will be known as the HTC Sensation 4G with be exclusive to T-Mobile and should be available by the third quarter of 2011.

The HTC Flyer also got a release date today. The first HTC tablet will go on sale starting the 9th of May all over Europe.
