HTC on Wednesday unveiled their latest Android device, the HTC Hero. The HTC Hero is a quad-band GSM and dual-band 3G smartphone which features a 3.2 inch touch display, a trackball for navigation, a 3.5mm audio connector, a 5MP rear camera, 512MB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD and a 528MHz processor with 288MB of RAM.
The Hero is also the first HTC device to feature HTC Sense. HTC Sense is a software platform that has been built above the main core of the Mobile's OS with a customizable user interface meant to make the device more user friendly.
The HTC CEO Peter Chou, stated that Sense UI was meant to make the device more easy to use for it's users. He also said it was an easy way to access people and get important information efficiently.
