Apple iPad 2 - International launch sees long lines

People line up all around the world to get their hands on the Apple  iPad 2 which is now available in 22 countries. With it's sleek new design, faster processors and graphics and 2 cameras for video calling and capturing photos, it seems the new iPad 2 is enough of a success to make people line up for it.

Tablet cameras compared

One of the biggest selling points of the Apple iPad 2 would have to be it's cameras. The folks at MacWorld, put the iPad 2 camera up against Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Motorola Xoom, both tablets run Google's Android operating system and feature a front and rear camera.

Apple iPad 2 - Video Sample

One of the most anticipated features of the new Apple iPad 2 was camera. And the iPad comes with two of them. However is the quality of the HD video which the iPad 2 captures in line with the Apple iPhone 4 or is it like the less impressive iPod touch camera.

Apple iTunes updated (10.2)

Apple iTunes 10.2 has been released with support for iOS 4.3. This new version of iTunes will be required by the Apple iPad 2 when it is released on March 11th, along with iOS 4.3.

Apple iPad 2 officially announced

The Apple iPad 2 was announced today at an event which took place in San Francisco California. The new iPad is thinner, lighter and faster than the original and will be available on March 11th 2011.

Apple iPad Smart Cover

The iPad Smart Cover is an accessory built specifically for the Apple iPad 2. It has a thin light design which latches on to the iPad 2 frame with it's magnetic hinges. While covers the iPad 2 goes to sleep, and instantly switches on what you open it.

Apple iPad 2 Event on March 2nd

Looks like it is finally official: Apple has sent out some invitations to the press for a media event to unveil the much awaited Apple iPad 2.

The event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for Arts in San Francisco. It is unlikely that Apple CEO Steve Jobs will be present at the event, but the keynote should be presented by Phil Schiller or Tim Cook.

Apple sells 2 million iPad 2 units in less than 2 months

The Apple iPad 2 has crossed a landmark in the form of sales, which have reached 2 million since its launch on the 3rd of April. Apple has started shipping the new iPad to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK.
