Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 - Android Gingerbread screenshots

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 received it's Android 2.3 Gingerbread update around a month ago, which offered several new updates. Keep reading for some screenshots from the updated UI on the X10.

[Guide] How to root Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 on Android 2.3.3

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 has been updated to Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread. If you do update you will loose your root, so you can follow this guide to re enable it.

The X10 The device features a 4 inch touch display, 1 GB of internal storage, an 8GB microSD card, an 8 megapixel camera and is powered by a 1GHz processor with 384 MB of RAM.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 receives Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread software update


The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 has received the Android 2.3.3 which brings the latest version of Android 2.3 Gingerbread along with other features and improvements. You can get this update using the Sony Ericsson PC Companion app if you are using the unbranded version of the X10.

It has also been reported that this update offers better battery life and cool new animations. If you have rooted your device please note that the update will disable it. If you have any questions or comments on this update please post them below.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play receives Android 2.3.3 software update

Sony Ericsson has started rolling out the Android 2.3.3 update for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. While Sony Ericsson hasn't specified which markets will get the update first, they have mentioned that the unbranded versions of the devices will be first in line for this update.

This update will bring better Facebook integration, which was introduced on the Xperia mini and Xperia mini pro and will also bring the Android security update along with some security issues identified by Sony Ericsson.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 - Spotted running Android 2.1

The Sony Ericsson (SE) X10 is the companies flagship Android device, that being said it is sad to see the flagship device has been stuck running Android 1.6 instead of the latest Android 2.2 which has been out for some time now.

However SE has said that it will start updating it's X10 devices to Android 2.1 in September, and it looks like at least one device has gotten the flavoring. The video below demonstrates the animated wallpapers from Android's Éclair along with the new launcher button and UI.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini - Unboxing and Hands On Video

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini is the larger sibling of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. It features a 2.5 inch touch display, a 5 megapixel camera 128MB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, and is powered by a 600MHz processor.

It comes with the same version of Android as X10 but lacks the software features and enhancements offered on Sony's flagship smartphone.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 - Hands On

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10I recently got my hands on the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. This device is the first handset from Sony Ericsson to run on Google's Android OS. The device has a 4 inch capacitive WVGA touch display with a 480 by 854 pixel resolution, an 8 megapixel camera capable of HD video (with upcoming update), WiFi and 3.5mm audio jack. All of this is powered by a 1GHz snapdragon processor which makes the X10 one of the best mobile devices I have had the pleasure of getting my hands on.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 - TimeScape UI demonstration

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10The Sony Ericsson X10 is powered by a 1GHz processor and runs Android 1.6 Doughnut. Sony Ericsson has made use of the X10's powerful hardware and designed a UI platform which they have name UX.

The UX is aimed at making the experience of the mobile platform easier for the user by seamlessly integrating social media with most regularly used data. TimeScape is a part of this experience.
