Sony Xperia Tablet S will be available again in mid-November

sony-xperia-tablet-s-1 The Sony Xperia Tablet S was first launched in the US on September 7th, with subsequent releases in Europe, Japan and other locations. The water resistant tablet was then pulled last last month when a manufacturing fault was discovered, where water could enter the device through a gap between the display and the back of the unit.

Sales of the device were halted on the 100,000 units which had already been shipped and a free inspection was offered to everyone who had purchased the tablet. Any faulty units were either repaired or replaced.

Sony Tablet S receives Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich


Sony is now rolling out the Android 4.0.3 update for the . This update following the Android 4.0 ICS update which was offered back in April, making the Tablet S one of the first Honeycomb devices to receive the update. Users will receive an alert on their device informing them of the update availability following which they can install it.

Sony has announced that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) update has started rolling out for the . You will be prompted to receive the ICS update when you connect to your Wi-Fi.

If you don’t receive the prompt you can manually check for the update under settings.

Sony S2 4G coming to AT&T

The Sony S2, will apparently be available in the U.S. exclusively through AT&T. The device is said to feature an HSPA+ (4G) according to a report released by AT&T. The S2 has an innovative design with it's dual displays and clam shell body. It will be interesting to see how well this unique look is adopted by AT&T users.
