PlayStation for iOS and Android updated with improved video and live streaming

Sony has updated its PlayStation for Android and PlayStation for iOS companion apps with improved support for video and live streaming. A new feature, called Live from PlayStation, lets the user watch ongoing PS4 game streams from his or hers PSN friends via Twitch.tv and UStream feeds.

Sony has also added support for video and notifications from the PS Store. They are displayed inside the app's "What's New" section.Additionally the update squashes some bugs and resolves several stability issues.

Sony PlayStation for iOS and Android updated with support for PS4

Sony PlayStation app for iOS and AndroidSony has just updated their official PlayStation app for iOS and Android, allowing new owners of the Sony PlayStation 4 to have a tie in experience with their mobile devices and console. The update brings version 1.5 to the app with some new features and improvements including a second-screen function for select games, social networking and purchases.

Grand Theft Auto V has arrived

The long awaited Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V has finally arrived for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. GTA V is the fifteenth title in the Grand Theft Auto series, and the first main entry since Grand Theft Auto IV was released in 2008.

Grand Theft Auto V is played in third-person and combines driving and action gameplay in an open world environment, allowing the player to interact with the game world at their leisure. The game is set within the fictional state of San Andreas, which is based on Southern California, affording the player free roam over the world's countryside and the fictional city of Los Santos, which is based on Los Angeles.

PlayStation 4 release date announced for North America and Europe

We now know quite a bit regarding the Sony PlayStation 4, but the release date is one bit of information which has been kept under wraps wraps until today. It has now been confirmed that the PS4 will be available in the United States starting November 15th and in Europe on November 29th.

PlayStation Vita receives (2.60) firmware update, with UI changes, improved streaming and more

Sony has released a new firmware update to their which brings software version 2.60 along with some enhancements to the user-interface, improved streaming and more. Despite the handheld console struggling to make a name for itself in a market dominated by mobile games, its good to see Sony paying attention to it.

GTA 5 gameplay trailer released

Rockstar Games has released a gameplay trailer for their upcoming GTA V giving us an added incentive on why we should purchase the game. We have already seen screenshots and special editions of GTA V which is expected to arrive on September 17.

Now we can sit back and enjoy the following gameplay video, which is five minutes long and offers a offers a running commentary of some of the characters, missions, and vehicles. The game offers far more than just running and shooting your way through the usual missions, including several recreational activities such as tennis and bike riding to keep you entertained.

Sony PlayStation 4 now available for pre-order


Just like with the Microsoft Xbox One the Sony PlayStation 4 is also available for pre-order through a number of retailers. It is available both as a standalone console and bundled with various games.

The PlayStation 4 has been priced at $399 which is $100 lower than the asking price of the new Xbox One. Ordering the device right now will guarantee you can be among the first to own the console when it arrives this holiday season. Unfortunately none of the retailers have a firm release date on when you can get your hands on the device.

GTA 5 Special Edition and Collector's Edition announced

Grand Theft Auto V promises to be something quite amazing when it finally arrives on September 17. The game was initially set to be launched in Spring but was later delayed to September. Now users have shifted their focus to the new launch date when they can finally enjoy the latest of the GTA franchise on their PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.

Sony announces the PlayStation 4

Sony PlayStation LogoSony unveiled their PlayStation 3 to the world seven years ago, and today they are ready to give the world the first glimpse at the Sony PlayStation 4 at a special PlayStation 2013 event. The new PlayStation alongside a newly design DualShock 4 controller is getting set to take on the next era of gaming.

Sony plans to achieve this by giving the PlayStation 4 an all-new Supercharged PC architecture, for a more immersive experience. For this the device will be powered by an enhanced PC GPU, 8GB of unified memory and an X86 CPU.

However the new console is being unveiled into a strange world, now dominated by mobile gaming. Sony announces event for February 20, PlayStation 4 announcement likely?

Sony LogoSony has announced a media event for February 20, and the general understanding is that the company will be unveiling the PlayStation 4 during that event. This will be the first major PlayStation event in two years, and rumors are running rampant that the company will finally unveil its successor to its 70 million-selling PlayStation 3 gaming console.

Sony declined to comment on whether it would be releasing a new product at the meeting in New York, with spokesperson Msaki Tsukakoshi simply stating that they will be talking about the PlayStation business.

Grand Theft Auto is coming soon and though fans have been eagerly anticipating the title being released during Spring 2013, the developers have pushed the date back to September 17. This will surely disappoint several gamers, who would have been impatiently waiting for a chance to get their hands on this addictive game. This will also likely affect the momentum that Rockstar has been generating with the title.

Sony offering six titles for free for a week on PlayStation Mobile


Sony is having a special promotion on PlayStation Mobile (PSM) games where six premium titles will be made free for a period of seven days. One game will be offered per week. The games can be downloaded through Android devices like the Sony Xperia S, Sony Xperia ion, Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and the Sony Ericsson Xperia Acro along with all Sony Android tablets.

We have already seen some screenshots for Rockstar’s upcoming Grand Theft Auto V. But hardcore fans are literally bursting in anticipation of its release and would warmly welcome every bit of the game they can get their hands on. We now know that Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) is set to be released in early 2013 and over the last few months we have been getting little tastes of what to expect in the form of screenshots and teaser trailers. Recently Rockstar, the game’s developers have revealed some detailed screenshots showing off more of what we can expect from from the latest in the GTA franchise.

The GTA franchise has always been popular, but it really rose to the top with the release of GTA III, which even made its way to modern smartphones and tablets, 10 years after its debut. Now with GTA Vice City making its way to our mobile devices lets take a look at what Rockstar has in store for our consoles.

GTA 5 coming in Spring 2013, pre-order on November 5
